So… where to begin?

So you’ve heard so much about Yoga and its benefits; it makes you fit, flexible, focused and relaxed. But where do you begin and what exactly can I do at Harlingen Yoga Center?

Yoga is an ancient art and science with numerous practical applications in modern life. Through yoga asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing) at Harlingen Yoga Center, we create alignment between your body and mind. By working the body, controlling the breath and observing the mind and body, we create a stable, calm framework from which to live our lives. Yoga is a powerful practice to help us deal with our daily challenges in a more graceful and empowering way.

At the Yoga Center it is easy for anyone to begin doing yoga; there is no requirement on flexibility, age or body type. Yoga welcomes you just the way you are. If you are new to yoga try our beginners, BackMitra or gentle yoga classes where we first work to align the body and start with the basics. And like we say, “There is always a modification for any pose, no matter the level or mobility someone may have.”
